A thorough understanding of the physical procedures needed to convert raw materials into completed mechanical components is provided by the Manufacturing Technology course. 
This course is essential for students studying Optics and Precision Mechanics to comprehend the physical realization of optical systems' structural housings, lens mounts, and high-precision frames.
The curriculum shifts from standard "bulk" forming techniques to sophisticated, unconventional technologies and high-precision machining.

This course, titled “Manufaturing Tehnology,” is designed for second-year bachelor’s students specializing in metrology.

Requirements

 The "Manufacturing Technology" course aims to equip students with core engineering competencies by first enabling them to identify distinct manufacturing process families such as casting, forming, and machining. It further develops their analytical foundation by training them to describe the fundamental physical principles that govern how material is shaped or removed during production. Building on this theoretical understanding, students learn to manipulate manual machine tools to fabricate mechanical parts in precise accordance with technical drawings. Ultimately, the module empowers learners to select the most efficient and suitable manufacturing method for any given industrial application.
