About This Course

Ecology is the science that studies the conditions necessary for living organisms to survive and the interactions that occur among organisms and between organisms and their natural environment. This General Ecology course provides students with a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of ecology: ecosystems, habitats, biological communities (biocenoses), and the ecological factors that influence the distribution and survival of living organisms.

Target audience: second-year undergraduate students in Biology, Ecology, and Biotechnology.

This release (Version 1.0) includes Module 1 (Introduction to Ecosystems) and Module 2 (Environmental Factors), a final assessment, glossary, and downloadable notes.
